This project called for developing landscape images and structures based on the experiential spatial qualities in the film Lawrence of Arabia. Models, dimensional drawings, and collage perspectives were used to explore the desert horizon as a backdrop for fleeting human events.

The project culminated in the Sand Palace, a speculative shelter for an environment of increasing aridity and wind.

Sandstone and glass, both derived from the desert's most common element, contrast the coarse and the smooth, the opaque and the transparent.
